ACL REHAB IN FREEHOLD, NJ
YOUR CONFIDENT COMEBACK FROM ACL INJURY STARTS HERE.
An ACL injury changes things quickly.
One moment you are training, competing, or staying active, and the next you are dealing with uncertainty.
You start hearing timelines, protocols, and different opinions, but most of it feels generic and not built around you.
You may have been told to rest, follow a standard protocol, or just “wait it out.”
You might be doing exercises, but not fully understanding how they connect to getting you back to your sport or activity.
That is where the frustration starts. You are doing the work, but you are not confident it is the right work.
At EVO, we approach ACL recovery differently.
We do not follow a one-size-fits-all protocol. We guide you through a structured, progressive 10-Step Process that is built around your goals, your sport, and where you are in your recovery.
Every phase has a purpose and every progression is earned.
You are not just checking boxes, you are building strength, control, and confidence in your knee step by step.
Because this is not just about getting cleared. It is about actually being ready.
This is a return to sport with a plan, not guesswork.

OUR 10-STEP RECOVERY PROCESS
FOR ACL INJURIES
Most physical therapy clinics focus only on pain relief and basic motion.

That may get you moving again, but it rarely prepares you for the demands of sport or an active lifestyle.

Stopping too soon leaves people vulnerable to setbacks, hesitation, and even re-injury.

At EVO, we do it differently.
Our 10-Step Recovery Process makes sure every box is checked in the right order, at the right time.

We take you beyond early recovery by guiding you from restoring motion and strength all the way through sport-specific testing.
Giving you everything you need to make a confident comeback.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT EVO
When you come to EVO, you can expect more than just exercises and check-ins.
Our approach combines one-on-one attention, individualized planning, and the right recovery tools so every step of your rehab builds toward lasting results.
THE TRUTH ABOUT ACL RECOVERY
Research shows that while most athletes expect to return after ACL surgery, the reality is much harsher.
Only about 55–65% make it back to their previous level of sport.
Even more concerning, up to 1 in 4 athletes will re-tear their ACL or injure the opposite knee within just two years when rehab is incomplete or rushed.
At EVO, our 10-Step Roadmap to Recovery was built to change that outcome.
By following the right order of progressions and not skipping critical steps, we consistently see more than 95% of our patients return to their sport or activity with full confidence and durability.
Our process is designed to reduce the risk of re-injury and ensure a true, lasting recovery.
How We've Helped In Different ACL Scenarios

For those with past ACL surgery: Many people continue to have pain, weakness, or limitations in sport because they skipped steps in the recovery process during PT. We often help athletes figure out what steps were skipped to help them make a confident comeback after they have tried traditional PT.

For those who just had surgery: Early priorities include regaining full extension, activating the quad, controlling swelling, and restoring gait mechanics before progressing strength and agility.

For those avoiding surgery: The ACL passively stabilizes the knee and without it, we rely more heavily on the muscles around the knee. Making sure an athlete has full range on motion, muscular balance between hamstrings and quadriceps, and the capacity to control the knee under fatigue.
