You’ve Tried It All. Here’s Why It Hasn’t Worked Like You Hoped.

Updated: Aug 6, 2025

If you’ve ever followed a six-week program, pulled a workout from Instagram, or signed up for group fitness classes, then you’ve tried a program.

Maybe it worked for a little while and maybe it didn’t.

Either way, chances are you hit a point where it no longer fit.

You missed a day and didn’t know how to adjust. You got injured and had no one to ask what to do next. You stopped seeing progress and didn’t understand why. Life got busy, and the whole thing fell off.

That isn’t your fault.

That’s the limitation of a program.

Because they are written ahead of time and, at best, with the average person on an average day in mind.

In other words, they're helpful or appropriate for 80% of people, 80% of the time.

What happens when you fall outside of the 80% of people and these pre-planned workouts are too challenging or, maybe, not challenging enough?

What happens when life changes? You lost your job or got a promotion. You bought a new house or had a baby. You're managing an injury or dealing with chronic pain.

Those whiteboard workouts or online programs don't change with you. They'll be up there whether you show up on your best day or your worst day.

But that's what we mean by coaching vs. programming.

At EVO, coaching means having someone who sees the full picture. It means working with a coach who understands your body, your history, your lifestyle, your stress, and your goals. It means having a plan that evolves with you and support when things do not go perfectly.

We coach people through the real stuff that derails most training plans. Things like…

  • Returning to exercise after injury or surgery

  • Balancing lifting with marathon prep

  • Managing pain without stopping entirely

  • Adjusting around travel, poor sleep, or stress

  • Building consistency when motivation is low

  • Starting again after months (or even years) off

These are the moments where most people give up. Not because they don’t care, but because they don’t know what to do next. That is where real coaching changes everything.

  • We have helped runners return to pain-free training.

  • We have helped athletes return to sport with confidence.

  • We have helped parents stay consistent during the busiest seasons of their lives.

  • We have helped people who were told “this is just part of getting older” move and feel better than they have in years.

  • We have helped people in their forties, fifties, and sixties get stronger than they have ever been.

No fixed, pre-written program can do that.

Coaching is flexible. It is personal and helps you figure out how to keep moving forward, even when things don’t go as planned.

That is what we do every day inside EVO and, now, we’re bringing that experience to people outside of our four walls.

EVO Remote Coaching launches this September.

You will get a personalized training plan, direct access to your coach, check-ins to keep you on track, and the same individualized support we are known for. It all lives inside our EVO Health App.

If you’ve tried programming and felt stuck, this is what you have been missing.

We will share more details soon.

If you are ready for something built around you, we are ready to help.
